Speaking of Deng Liyan, you may not be very familiar, but when it comes to PLANET-X, something will certainly pop up in your mind. Deng Liyan established PLANET-X in 2016, and it has been 2 years now. Although the time is not long, for toy collectors, it opened a new understanding of sofubi. Some people say that PLANET-X's works are not like Japanese traditional sofubi monsters. "It's weird if it looks like it, because I will add my own idea to make it look more modern," Deng Liyan rushed to the question.

After successively cooperating with CCTV, Guardian Art Center, and architectural design, Deng Liyan divided the ratio of work and creation into equal. But his identity is always a designer. What's interesting is that his work is for people to live and use, and his creation is for people to enjoy and share. Deng Liyan said that, in fact, design is a process from scratch, just like he is watching the tower crane building the material little by little. At that time, he always imagined the building as a huge kaiju.

My work is more about integration and innovation, just like the name PLANET-X. It sounds like a Hollywood B-rated film in the 60s, but when you see the work, you will feel a little bit different, but you can’t put your finger on it. But the same thing is that in life, Deng Liyan is a father who babies her daughter. Just like you, he looks at his daughter playing with toys and thinks of himself.
